Large crane collapsed at SoFi Stadium

On Friday morning, a large crane collapsed at the construction site of SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, which is the future home of the Los Angeles Chargers and Rams.

Fortunately, the crane collapse occurred in an open parking lot, not inside the stadium. No injuries were reported, officials said.

The crane was in the process of being moved when it struck. There was no damage to the stadium.

The stadium is more than 85% complete and is set to open in July for a Taylor Swift concert. The Rams and Bolts are set to play in preseason games in August before the regular season kicks off.

Other major events that will be held there include, Guns N’ Roses, Wrestlemania 37, Super Bowl LVI in 2022, the College Football National Championship game in 2023 and the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Olympic Games.
