Photos show 'sophisticated' cannabis farm which caught neighbours unaware

Pictures show inside a 'sophisticated' cannabis grow which has been dismantled by police.

Police found the grow after executing a warrant at an address in Longmead Drive, on the Edwards Lane Estate, near Daybrook.

Detectives said large quantities of differing strains of cannabis were seized.

They also found a "very sophisticated home cannabis grow" that had been constructed in the loft.

The warrant was carried out on Thursday, January 13.

But neighbours weren't surprised by the news.

Vasilica Campeanu, 31, who lives on the street, said: "I'm not aware of it but it isn't a surprise.

"You see it on the news, I see it everyday, I think this stuff is quite normal, which is bad.

"It's the first time I've heard about something happening on this street; I didn't see the incident, though."

A resident, who asked not to be named, said they saw ordeal take place.

He said: "I saw two vans and three police cars.

"I think drug crime is happening everywhere nowadays, it's a bigger problem than just this street."
