'Large cannabis cultivation' found in Falkirk house as forensics comb scene

A large cannabis cultivation has been discovered within a house in Falkirk.

A number of cops, including forensics in white suits, are at the address in James Street, in the Laurieston area.

Specialist teams first arrived at the house just after 1:30pm yesterday afternoon, Sunday August 22.

Detectives have also been digging in the front garden, as part of their investigation.

One neighbour who didn't want to be named said: "Police arrived at the house yesterday, but I didn't take any notice of it until I woke up this morning and saw they were still there.

"Then guys in white suits arrived and that's when I started to think it was serious.

"But one policeman said that we have nothing to worry about."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.35pm on Sunday, 22 August, police were called to an address in James Street, Falkirk, where a large cannabis cultivation had been discovered.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident."
