Pep Guardiola could make seven changes to the side that beat Burnley at the weekend when he takes Manchester City to Portugal for their penultimate Champions League group-stage clash.
City, already safely through to the last 16, need just a point against Porto to win the group. If they were to lose, they would go into the final game against Marseille needing to get a result at the Etihad next week.
So despite there being plenty of talk of resting a number of players, there is still something to play for in Portugal, even if that is just to earn a free hit next week.
Guardiola insists he will keep players in the team who are performing well, but there will be the temptation to rotate a little to keep his squad fresh.
Against Burnley, Guardiola left Aymeric Laporte and Alek Zinchenko out of the squad completely, so they could return to a new-look back line. Even though John Stones and Benjamin Mendy have impressed in the last two games, it would make sense to rest them here and bring them back against Fulham next weekend.
Likewise, Ruben Dias and Kyle Walker can get a rest, at least on the bench, with Joao Cancelo and Eric Garcia replacing them.
Into midfield, and captain Fernandinho can come into the holding role and rest the legs of Rodri, with Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva well rested after dropping to the bench against Burnley. Foden was the matchwinner in Greece last week, and these Champions League games are a great chance for the 20-year-old to gain experience as the midfielder with the most creative responsibility.
Guardiola hinted that Kevin De Bruyne was mentally exhausted, so there wouldn't be many complaints if he were to put his feet up once again.
However, the changes could stop there, with an unchanged front three a possibility. Riyad Mahrez will be full of confidence after his hat-trick, while this could be the perfect game for Ferran Torres to continue his scoring run in Europe. Torres also got on the scoresheet at the weekend.
With Sergio Aguero suffering a setback, Gabriel Jesus can continue upfront for the time being. With five substitutions available, Jesus does not need to complete 90 minutes.
And the bench can give the chance to some youngsters and fringe players to get some valuable experience, too, with that likely to be the best avenue for Guardiola to rotate rather than make too many sweeping changes from the start.
Predicted City XI vs Porto: Ederson, Cancelo, Garcia, Laporte Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Foden, Bernardo, Torres, Mahrez, Jesus
