Laporte and Dias start - the Man City team fans want to see vs Leeds

Pep Guardiola said a decision will be made on Ruben Dias before today's trip to Leeds, but Manchester City fans are clear that the new signing should start at Elland Road.

Dias, who signed for City on Tuesday, has trained three times with his new teammates, while Aymeric Laporte returned to play 90 minutes at Burnley in the Carabao Cup for his first football of the season.

With Nathan Ake, Eric Garcia and John Stones also in training this week, Guardiola could have a full complement of centre-backs to choose from for the first time this season.

And while Guardiola remained tight-lipped on whether Dias would start at Leeds, fans were much clearer that the new addition should be thrown straight into the starting XI at Elland Road.

Using the MEN's team selector widget, the most popular starting XI chosen by fans included Dias at the back alongside Laporte, with Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy on either side as the full-backs.

In midfield, a trio of Rodri, Fernandinho and Kevin de Bruyne was the chosen formation, possibly with the two more defensive-minded players of the three in a double pivot.

With Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero still not available, fans want to see Raheem Sterling continue in the central attacking role, with Riyad Mahrez and Ferran Torres continuing on the wings after they both did well at Burnley.

Phil Foden was rested for that game, so he is likely to come in, but the strength of the fans chosen side shows how seriously they think Guardiola should take the game against Leeds.

Man City fans chosen XI to face Leeds : Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Mendy, Fernandinho, Rodri, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Torres, Sterling.
