City were beaten 5-2 by Leicester at the Etihad, raising further question marks over the side's defensive stability.
City are back in Carabao Cup action following their narrow victory over Bournemouth last week and will this time face off against Premier League opposition in Burnley.
Guardiola selected a youthful side for last week's game and will likely make plenty of changes again as he looks to keep his squad fresh ahead of this weekend's league encounter with Leeds United.
The first change will likely come between the sticks with Zack Steffen being given another chance to impress in place of Ederson.
There will likely be several alterations along the back-line too. Although Eric Garcia could keep his place he may shift to right-back in order to rest Kyle Walker, with youngster Taylor Harwood-Bellis taking his spot in the middle.
Aymeric Laporte could make his return to the starting line up in order to get his match fitness up ahead of the arrival of his new partner Ruben Dias, while Aleks Zinchenko may come in for Benjamin Mendy.
Fernandinho could keep his spot in midfield after playing just 50 minutes against Leicester, with Phil Foden also keeping his place, but Tommy Doyle will likely come into the side after impressing in the previous round.
Liam Delap has had a rapid rise to the first team after scoring against Bournemouth and making his Premier League debut on Sunday. It would make sense for him to lead the line again at Turf Moor. Riyad Mahrez and Ferran Torres could join him in attack.
