Feb. 24--Los Angeles police are continuing to investigate the death of "American Horror Story" actor Ben Woolf, who was struck by a car in Hollywood last week.
Police said Woolf was jaywalking. The driver stopped and was interviewed by officers, but no citations were issued.
Woolf, 34, died of a stroke at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday, said his publicist, Zack Teperman. The actor had been hospitalized in critical condition since Thursday, when he was struck by a car mirror near Hollywood Boulevard, police said.
After his death, Woolf's family issued a statement: "We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben. He touched so many hearts in his 34 years. His memory will live on within each of us and within his work."
Woolf, who was 4 feet 4, was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism when he was young. He also worked as a preschool teacher in addition to appearing on the hit FX show.
Woolf was not married and did not have children. His dog, Lisa, will be adopted by his mother.
A memorial service is expected to take place in Santa Barbara in a few weeks, but no details are yet available.
