Tottenham's Erik Lamela has won the Premier League goal of the season thanks to his incredible rabona goal against Arsenal in March.
The Argentine had a rollercoaster of a game, opening the scoring with his sublime piece of skill before getting sent off for violent conduct as Spurs fell to a 2-1 defeat against their bitter rivals.
It was the second time Lamela scored a rabona goal in a Spurs shirt, with the other coming against Asteras Tripolis in the 2014/15 Europa League campaign.
However, West Ham fans weren't happy with the award going to Lamela as they believed Manuel Lanzini's last-minute strike against Spurs in October was more deserving of the prize.
Lanzini's long-range effort rounded off an incredible comeback from the Hammers, coming from 3-0 down to score three goals in the last 10 minutes of the game to draw 3-3.
They took to social media on Saturday morning to express their frustration.
It was the second year running that a Spurs player won the award, with Korean frontman Heung-Min Son picking it up after a fabulous solo run against Burnley in December 2019.
Lamela admitted it was a special goal to score, despite losing the game.
“Of course it has a different feeling to do it in the derby – these games are completely different to other ones and it’s a very, very special goal" he told Spurs' official website.
"Honestly, I just decided in that moment to shoot like that. It was one second.
"Of course, I dream a lot about goals like that, especially in a derby, but it was in one second that I decided to shoot like that.”
