West Ham will be looking to put Wednesday night's Carabao Cup embarrassment behind them when they visit Bournemouth later this afternoon.
Securing a 2-0 victory over Manchester United last Sunday to lift them into fifth in the Premier League table, the Hammers were expected to progress past Oxford United in the cup but they fell to a shock 4-0 humbling.
The Cherries themselves also lost in the competition against League One opposition and both will be hoping to put things right at the Vitality Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini's side have not beaten the hosts since August 2016 and he is well aware of the threat they pose, although he has stated that his team will be going all out for the three points.
"It is a team that plays offensive football with normally two strikers," he said at his pre-match press conference. "It is also a team that plays with one more [attacker] on the left side.
"We must know that we need to concentrate on defending but as always we are going to go for the three points.
"We're going to attack from the first minute and try to add three points more."
Pellegrini made wholesale changes in midweek at Oxford and he is expected to do the same for the game on the south coast.
The good news is that Manuel Lanzini is fit and back in contention after missing the past two games due to a foot injury and the manager has a decision to make over whether or not the Argentine goes straight back into the team.
However, he will once again have to do without Michail Antonio and Winston Reid as they remain on the sidelines due to their respective injuries.
