Lanes are closed as firefighters tackle blazes on the M60 and M62 motorways.
Two fires are believed to have broken out this evening.
Two lanes are currently closed on the M60 clockwise at junction 15, Worsley Braided Interchange, according to Highways England. The lanes are closed up to junction 16 for Salford and Kearsley.
Greater Manchester Traffic Police and firefighters have been at the scene for around an hour.
A second fire, understood to be a vehicle fire, has also occurred on the M62 in Bury says Highways England.
The eastbound entry slip road from Simister Island at junction 18 was closed when police were on their way to the scene at around 7pm. One lane has reopened in the last few minutes and traffic is moving past the scene.
