Lane7 bowling alley opening in Bristol city centre - first look inside

A new entertainment complex launching in Bristol city centre offering a range of activities and delicious food is just days away from opening.

Lane7 is launching its latest venue in the Millennium Promenade unit formerly home to Latin-inspired restaurant The Cuban, adding to the company's existing eight UK sites.

The new 700-capacity attraction - which will boast bowling lanes, pool tables, ping pong tables, shuffleboards, arcade machines and more - is set to open fully on Monday (May 17).

In addition to the array of entertainment, mouth-watering food will be prepared and cooked by Burger Theory and Sesame Kitchen.

Burger Theory will be occupying one of two pop-up kitchens at the venue, serving a full menu with all of their classics, including vegetarian and vegan options. The second kitchen will be occupied by Sesame Kitchen, serving Asian tapas.

Tim Wilks, Founder of Lane7, explained why he was keen to open his latest venue in Bristol.

"Bristol is independent, rebellious and unique - just like Lane7," he said.

"I think it’s my disruptive business mentality that connects with the culture I've experienced in Bristol, and ultimately why I instinctively knew this was the place to open my next location.

"The people of Bristol need their fun to be inspired, with Lane7’s philosophy of ‘built just for you’ we are going to work hard to provide the venue that Bristol wants."

Tim added the venue is 'ideal for those much desired friend meetups, work socials, and life celebrations'.

Lane7 was founded in 2013 when Tim transformed a warehouse in Newcastle into an upmarket bowling alley and alternative late night venue.

He has since launched similar concepts in Middlesbrough, Aberdeen, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Leicester, Birmingham and now Bristol.

The new branch is located on Millennium Promenade just off of Millennium Square, in a unit formerly home to Latin-inspired restaurant The Cuban, adding to the company's existing eight UK sites.

How much does it cost?

Booking for Bristol's new Lane7 is now open ahead of the venue's launch.

Bowling costs £9.95 per person per game at peak times and £8 when playing off-peak, while kids and university students pay £7.

For one hour of pool it's £12, while ping pong costs £7 for 30 minutes of play or £12 for one hour.

The electric shuffle board costs £15 to hire for one hour while the "shooting pod" booths are £40 at peak times and £30 at off-peak times for one hour.
