Lane Johnson loves his quarterback — Donovan McNabb can attest that — so it wasn’t a shock to see the Eagles right tackle get involved in DeMarcus Lawrence coming for Carson Wentz. On Thursday night, Wentz signed the richest guaranteed contract for a quarterback in NFL history, and the Cowboys defensive end took notice.
“The richer they get, the better it feels when we humble they a**” Lawrence tweeted out.
Whether he was talking about humbling Wentz, Russell Wilson or Matt Ryan remains to be seen, but Lane Johnson wasn’t going to allow Lawrence to feel like he’s bullying anyone, quickly letting the Cowboys star know that he’d be in attendance as well.
As we stated on Thursday night, the Cowboys are 6-3 over the last nine games against the Eagles, but Lawrence has zero sacks in those contest, with five quarterback hits, four tackles for loss and bragging rights in the division last season.
