Lane Johnson on Andre Dillard: “He can play right now”

Andre Dillard is the future at left tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles and yet the present veterans can’t stop gushing about the first-round pick out of Washington State. Jason Peters has previously stated that he’d move to guard if it would help extend his career, and talk around the camp has been about Dillard’s speedy progression at left tackle.

On Monday, Dillard showed flashes of that potential, dominating Vinny Curry and Josh Sweat at times during their interactions and leaving analysts and the media alike impressed by what’s coming down the pike.

On Tuesday, Dillard received the ultimate co-sign from Lane Johnson, who praised the left tackle, telling the media that “he could play right now” if the Eagles need him.

Dillard continues to benefit from playing and getting tutorials from the likes of Jason Kelce, Peters, Brandon Brooks, Johnson, and so many more. Don’t be surprised if the Eagles play Dillard in spurts early on, to help keep Jason Peters healthy for the long run.
