Lane Johnson doubles-down on his praise for Josh Sweat; Compares him to Jadeveon Clowney

Lane Johnson was full of praise for his Eagles teammate and stud pass rusher, Josh Sweat over the weekend, even drawing the ire of some who thought he was only joking. Johnson wasn’t joking and doubled-down on his statement about Sweat having a big 2019 season.

While addressing the media on Tuesday, the Eagles top evaluator of talent compared Sweat to Jadeveon Clowney, providing further proof that Sweat is ready to take the next step as a pro.

The athletic and lean former Florida State star added 22 pounds to his frame this summer in hopes of being able to hold up at the point of attack. For Sweat, he’s hopeful that he’ll have “a big year” as Lane Johnson predicted.

If Sweat can assume the role of 4th pass rusher on the defense, this 2019 unit could be dangerous.
