A driver caught lane hogging on the M60 sped past police at 85mph before being stopped and arrested.
The traffic team at Greater Manchester Police posted a photograph of the incident just before midday.
It appears that the car was stopped and the driver was arrested near to the M61 junction for Bolton and Wigan.
The driver then tested positive for cannabis, police say.
A spokesperson for GMP said: ”Despite the 'stop lane hogging - use left lane' matrix message, the driver opted to hog lane 2 instead of lane 3! He then sped past the officer at 85mph!
”Stopped and tested positive for cannabis.”
GMP Traffic added: ”The driver will be reported to court for all offences once we have the forensic results back.”
Police also posted a picture of the vehicle in question.
