Lane closures and traffic restrictions on Gregory Boulevard for roadworks

A number of traffic restrictions have been imposed at Gregory Boulevard as roadworks begin today (June 29).

The work is for trial holes to assess damaged water mains from flooding along the road and will start immediately on Monday, June 29 until Tuesday, June 30.

It means there will be lane closures on Gregory Boulevard, near the Forest Recreation Ground, during this time.

Additionally, there will be no right turn onto Leslie Road, no right turn into the Forest park and ride site and no right turn onto Russell Road.

Noel Street will also be closed from its junction with Gregory Boulevard to outside number 11.

The alternative route it to travel from Gregory Boulevard to Radford Road and then on to Bentinck Road.

The work is being carried out by Geda Construction on behalf of Severn Trent Water and is expected to cause minor delays, while work is carried out 'off peak'.
