Landon Collins: Bullseye on Giants, Saquon Barkley for next six years

Washington Redskins safety Landon Collins says he no longer bleeds blue and promises to put a bullseye on the New York Giants and running back Saquon Barkley for the next six years.

In fact, Collins told reporters on Saturday night he intends to be a “full-go” when he meets Barkley at the line of scrimmage, dismissing his previous comments in which he proclaimed he was thrilled he didn’t have to try to tackle the powerful running back.

“I was only saying that for the media,” Collins said, via the New York Post. “I’ve been ready to tackle Saquon. That’s my guy, though. When I get to meet him in the hole this time it’s gonna be full-go.”

Collins added a new wrinkle to his Giants criticism as well, suggesting that James Bettcher used him incorrectly on defense.

“I don’t feel like I bleed blue anymore. I feel like [the Redskins] know my value and how they’ll use me in their defense. I don’t feel like I was used correctly within the defense that I was playing in,” Collins said, via NJ Advance Media.

Collins also shared the usual chatter, claiming Dwayne Haskins was the best quarterback in the NFL Draft and the Giants only got Daniel Jones.

“It’s going to be crazy,” Collins said. “We signed guys that they let go. They didn’t draft the guy that everyone wanted them to draft, and stuff like that. It happens. They felt like their way is a different way and the best way for them.

“Hey, more power to them, I can say from the get-go … I appreciate Daniel Jones coming out here [to Collins’ softball game], but I feel like we got the best quarterback in the draft.”

Ho-hum. Another day and more of the same from Collins.
