Landon Collins bids farewell to the Giants on Twitter

The NFL is first and foremost a business.

As harsh as that may sound, it’s reality and the NFL cares only about profits. Loyalty is something often talked about between player and team, but ultimately it comes down to dollars and cents.

Which is why today, safety Landon Collins bid farewell to the New York Giants who drafted him in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Despite being a three-time Pro Bowler, the Giants opted not to use the franchise tag on Collins and instead let him walk into free agency.

Collins took to Twitter with a heartfelt message about his time in New York. Take a look.

The new league year begins next week and I’m sure Collins will have a number of teams ready to backup the Brinks truck for him.
