Landmarks for several Dolphins in 30-10 loss to Chargers

The end result wasn’t a win. And in the NFL — wins and losses are the be all, end all. But that doesn’t mean there weren’t a handful of individual achievements for Dolphins worth noting. And in some cases, even celebrating. Here are some of the Miami Dolphins individual achievements from Miami’s Week 4 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers.

  • Linebacker Jerome Baker logged his 100th career tackle
  • Safety Reshad Jones logged his 750th career tackle
  • Defensive end Taco Charlton logged his second sack as a member of the Dolphins — the first time in his career he’s successfully logged a sack in consecutive games
  • Wide receiver Isaiah Ford logged his first official reception in the NFL

Do moral victories help numb the pain of another double digit loss? No, of course not. But seeing Jerome Baker hit triple digit tackles in his second season is a testament to future with the team, especially considering how much Baker is asked to do and how excited the coaches are to have him.

And when it is all said and done, the legacy of Reshad Jones’ time in Miami will forget the stress and strain towards the end. 750 career tackles, all with Miami, is an impressive number for the veteran safety. He’ll be a Ring of Honor member someday — that shouldn’t be forgotten amid a brutal 2019 season.

Hang in there, Dolphins fans. It will get better. But in the meantime, appreciate the small victories for players — they’ve worked their whole lives to be here and accomplishments on an individual level will be much more prevalent than team accomplishments in 2019.
