Landmarks around the world have been illuminated in dazzling green for this year's celebration of St Patrick's Day.

This year is the 10th year of Tourism Ireland's Global Greenings initiative.

To mark the anniversary, 25 buildings and landmarks were lit up across great Britain, with 430 in total turning green around the world.

The landmarks lit up include the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, The Clock Tower in Hong Kong, The Burj Khalifa in Dubai and Sydney Opera House.

The annual St Patrick's Day parade was taking place in London today, with Sadiq Khan sending a message to people attending.

The mayor wrote online: "Excited to join Londoners from across our city. Join us to celebrate our diversity & spread the news that London is open."
