
Brian McCarrin emailed, “We had a heck of an experience perch fishing on [Nov. 5] in Cal River.’’
Perch were sparse, but he caught and released a 40.5-inch northern pike. It came on a crappie rig and minnow.
That’s a pretty good catch on a crappie rig.
“Maybe I should’ve kept it because that’s one less perch eater in the lake, lol,’’ he added.
