A man was arrested after a car mounted the kerb and crashed into a shop support beam.
Police were called to the crash at 9am today after reports a Land Rover Discovery had smashed into a support beam on Wallasey Road.
At the scene they detained a 25-year-old on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.

He is currently in custody.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Repair works for the structure are now in the process of being arranged after a council building inspector visited assessed the damage.
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We were called at 9am today to reports a Land Rover Discovery had been in collision with a support beam underneath a shop on Wallasey Road. There are no reports of any injuries.
"A 25 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit. He is currently in custody.
"A council building inspector has attended the scene and repairs are in the process of being arranged."
