Land Rover found stranded on beach during lockdown by locals

A Land Rover was founded stranded on a beach during lockdown this morning.

Locals spotted the four by four abandoned on the sand at Hoylake beach in Wirral, while they were out walking today, April 18.

Under the current lockdown restrictions imposed by the government on March 23, the public are not allowed to drive to another location to exercise or walk your dog.

The vehicle has caused outrage on social media, with one resident reporting to have seen police talking to the driver and two passengers at around 9.30pm on Friday.

However, this has not yet been confirmed by police.

Photos taken at the beach today, show the car still stranded on the sand at around 3.30pm.

Tyre tracks can also be seen in the sand around the vehicle and down the length of the beach.
