Land Rover driver rams into pedestrian after chasing him through street in horror CCTV

A man caught on camera trying to run over a pedestrian in his Land Rover has been jailed for three years.

Duane Manchester, 32, chased the 30-year-old man down the street following an argument.

CCTV shows his cherry red 4x4 mounting the pavement before throwing the victim forwards into a street sign.

Manchester is now behind bars after being jailed for ABH and dangerous driving.

Speaking following the hearing DC Chris Thompson of Lowestoft CID said:

"Fortunately, targeted incidents like this are rare.

"Hopefully the victim will be relieved to know that Manchester is behind bars for a significant period of time.”

Manchester carried out the attack in Lowestoft, Suffolk, on November 10 last year.

The victim - who was known to him - can be seen desperately trying to escape.

But he is struck by the huge bumper of the Land Rover and hurled off-screen.

Seconds later a third man can be seen running around the back of the vehicle before climbing into the front passenger seat.

Manchester, of Lowestoft, then immediately drives away from the scene.

He was arrested a short time later before being jailed at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday.

He was disqualified from the roads for 18 months and also convicted of causing criminal damage to a newsagent's.

Despite the severity of the attack the man escaped with just minor injuries including cuts and bruises.
