Land development company sells Kilmarnock industrial plots for £850,000

A strategic land development company has agreed to sell four of its freehold plots for £850,000.

Lands Improvement sold the fully-serviced plots, totalling 10.7 acres, at Moorfield North Industrial Park in Kilmarnock to Dundee-based West Ranga Property.

The sale is subject to planning permission being secured for the erection of industrial and warehouse buildings.

Moorfield North Industrial Park has been developed under Lands Improvement’s long-term ownership, which dates back to 1989, into nine full serviced plots ready for industrial and employment use.

The sale will support East Ayrshire Council’s efforts to improve the availability and range of business and industrial space in Kilmarnock.

Existing companies operating from Moorfield North Industrial Park include: Braehead Foods, Plumbase and MKM Building Supplies.

James Stone, managing director at Lands Improvement, said: "By establishing Moorfield North as a master-planned, fully-serviced industrial park, we have unlocked the undoubted potential of its strategic location and brought new employment to this part of Kilmarnock.

"This transaction with West Ranga Property Group will ensure the remainder of the site is developed out and put to productive economic use."
