A new housing estate is set to be built in the Black Country after a land deal was struck.
A 6.5-acre site in Coseley with outline consent for 100 homes has been sold by Real Homes One to Countryside Properties for an undisclosed sum.
The cleared site is situated in Bourne Street and Countryside said it would be submitting a planning application for a housing scheme after considering a number of options with the site.
James Mattin, chief executive of property agency Bond Wolfe which brokered the land deal, said: "We are delighted to have finally got this deal over the line.
"Terms were agreed some time ago and we have had to navigate the challenges of covid-19 and lockdown with all parties coming together to reach a successful conclusion.
"There remains a strong appetite for sites such as Bourne Street and we look forward to bringing similar opportunities to the market later this year."
Adam Daniels, managing director for Countryside in the West Midlands, added: "We are very pleased to have secured another scheme in the Black Country where we will deliver much needed high-quality new homes for the local market.
"Our appetite remains strong in the land market as we continue to acquire land throughout the region, supporting our ambitious growth plans for the future."
Law firm Freeths in Birmingham acted for Real Homes One.
