A man has been found alive after police launched a land and sea search for him at a Mackay beach, when his clothes were found there this morning.
Police were contacted by a member of the public who found items belonging to the man at Illawong Beach, South Mackay shortly after 8:00am.
The beach is not a popular swimming spot among locals.
Water police and Volunteer Marine Rescue teams searched the site, and police and SES combed through nearby land and bush.
