The southbound carriageway of the M74 has been shut this afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash.
Motorists on the M74 are facing delays and diversions following the incident, which occurred just before 1pm.
The incident happened between J2 and J2A, near to Rutherglen and Cambuslang, with diversions quickly put into place.
It is not yet known the extent of the crash or if anybody has been injured, however, emergency services are at the scene.
Road users are being diverted off at J2 and delays of up to an hour upon approach are expected.
