Lanarkshire looks set to be bathed in sunshine this weekend as meteorologists predict the mercury to rise.
The region has enjoyed a sunny and warm couple of weeks, with few rain showers spoling the party.
That has continued this week, with Lanarkshire Live readers sharing with us their sunny pictures on our Facebook page.
And it looks set to peak again at the weekend, with temperatures as high as 21 degrees celsius predicted for Friday.
Tomorrow will see temperatures steadily increase throughout the day, peaking at around 4pm in the afternoon.
The high mercury will continue into the late evening, serving up balmy summer nights with temperatures still as high as 17 at 10pm.
But it’s not a one hit wonder, with Saturday serving up more of the same.
Temperatures are expected to peak earlier at 21 degrees Celsius at around 1pm, lasting till 6pm at night.
The warm summer evening will again continue till around 10pm.
Warm temperatures will continue into Sunday, however, a higher chance of rain is predicted. However, that will be low for most of the day, with evening rain looking most likely with a 66 per cent chance of a downpour.
