Lanarkshire's rising stars to take the stage at this summer's TRNSMT Festival

Scots singing sensations and chart toppers Saint Phnx are set to perform at this year's TRNSMT festival.

Brothers Stevie and Alan Jukes have been named on the bill to play on the famous King Tuts stage on Friday, July 8.

The Lanarkshire-based duo, originally of Wishaw but now living in Tinto, recently hit the top spot in the charts, storming in at No.1 in the Scottish Chart and entering the UK Top 40 for the first time.

Now the pair gearing up for the festival circuit this summer and can't wait to take to the stage in Glasgow.

They said: "Oh ya beauty TRNSMT Festival here we come! We cannot wait to take to the stage at this amazing Scottish festival."

Meanwhile, Lanarkshire singer-songwriter Rianne Downey will also perform over the weekend.

The 21-year-old, from Bellshill, is delighted to be listed on the River Stage on closing night, Sunday, July 10.

Rianne, who will headline her very own UK tour this year, told her 35k Facebook followers: "TRNSMT I’m comin for ye! See you Sunday 10th July on the River Stage."

As well as her own tour, prior to TRNSMT Rianne will also travel to America to perform in Texas at the biggest music conference in the world - the South by South West festival (SXSW).
