Lanarkshire residents urged to take part in second clap to show support for coronavirus keyworkers

Lanarkshire residents will join the rest of the UK to once again applaud the country’s key workers tonight (Thursday, April 2).

Following the success of last week’s 'Clap for carers' campaign, the public are being urged to take to their windows, balconies or doorways at 8pm to show their appreciation for all the key workers who are keeping the country running throughout the coronavirus crisis.

Last week, millions of people across the UK applauded from their homes in a moving tribute to the country’s NHS workers.

Tonight’s applause will honour teachers, cleaners, supermarket workers and delivery drivers - as well as the NHS staff who are working around the clock.

Don’t forget the supportive round of applause takes place at 8pm sharp!
