Train services between East Kilbride and Glasgow have been disrupted because of reports of a trespasser in the area.
Rail operators ScotRail took to social media to alert passengers of the delays, with some services starting at Busby.
That’s after emergency services raced to Hairmyres Station with reports of someone on the track.
On a Twitter post, ScotRail wrote: “We’ve had reports of a trespasser in the Hairmyres area.
“We’re working closely with the emergency services to get the person off the track safely.
“Train services between Glasgow Central and East Kilbride will be cancelled or amended as a result.”
In an update, they said how officers had taken the person “to a place of safety” and that they could “run services as scheduled”.
Pictures circulating on social media showed a number of police vehicles and ambulances, however, it is understood no one was injured in the incident.
