A new Poundstretcher store will open in Lanarkshire tomorrow (Friday).
The discount chain will be on Rutherglen Main Street, replacing the former Poundland store that was there.
Store bosses say the opening will be accompanied by a number of giveaways throughout the day.
And they will also mark the occasion with a £250 donation to the Rutherglen and Cambuslang food bank.
Also on hand will be entertainer Ian Gee, along with music, games and prize giveaways throughout the day.
Ian Gee told Lanarkshire Live : “We'll be having a fantastic family fun filled day, so come on down for your chance to be the star of the show and take away some great prizes.”
New members of staff, in part and full time roles, are currently being recruited from the local area, while the store will sell a wide number of items , from household products and toiletries to snacks and drinks.
Poundstretcher's executive chairman, Nadir Lalani, added: “We are pleased to be opening a brand new store to the people of Rutherglen with lots of fantastic branded products, all at bargain prices, and look forward to opening even more stores over the coming months.
"Our team is working hard to deliver an outstanding shopping experience, great service, and an enjoyable retail environment for all of our new customers!."
COVID-19 government guidelines will be followed in store.
