Lanarkshire Police make CCTV appeal after serious assault in Coatbridge area

Police in Lanarkshire have released images of a man they believe may hold information which might assist their enquiries into a serious assault in the Coatbridge area last month.

The incident occurred on Whifflet Street, Whifflet, around 00:15 am on Sunday, November 28.

The man pictured is described as being of slim build, with light coloured hair and of average height.

He was wearing dark clothing and shoes and a distinctive blue camouflage North Face jacket at the time of the assault.

Detective Constable Shemain Murphy said: "I would urge the man depicted in the images, or anyone who has information relating to him, contact Police Scotland via 101.

"Please quote reference number 0289 of Sunday, 28 November, 2021 when calling. Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
