Lanarkshire police launch frantic search for missing teenagers last seen on Monday

Police in Lanarkshire have launched a desperate plea for help in finding two teenage girls.

Niamh McElhinney and Kaitlin Dundas (both 13) were reported missing from the Motherwell area on Monday morning.

A police source told Lanarkshire Live that Kaitlin was last seen about 11am yesterday (January 23), with Niamh last seen about 11.40am that same day.

Kaitlin is described as 5ft with brown long hair, petite build and was last seen wearing a Nike jacket, black top, a black skirt or leggings and Nike/Converse shoes.

Niamh is descried as 5ft 5in, brown long hair, brown eyes, slim build and wearing a black hooded jacket, black Converse shoes and carrying a black Vans bag.

It is believed the girls are together.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101. Information can also be left via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
