Lanarkshire pervert jailed after conviction for historic child sex abuse

A pervert is behind bars after being convicted of abusing three young girls.

Fraser Love preyed on his victims mainly at a house in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire as well as in St Andrew's, Fife.

Prosecutors stated the crime occurred between 2006 and 2015.

One girl was aged around four when the 53 year-old first struck.

Love was convicted of four charges - including lewd and libidinous behaviour as well as sexual assault - following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow last week.

He was cleared of raping one of the girls.

Love, also of Coatbridge, had denied the allegations.

After the verdict, prosecutor Neil McCulloch said Love was a first offender.

Lord Mulholland deferred sentencing until next month.

He told Love: "Be under no misunderstanding, this is very serious sexual abuse of children and you can expect a lengthy period of imprisonment.

"I will remand you in custody meantime."
