The dedicated team at Specsavers, Rutherglen, has raised money over the festive period to donate to those in need.
The store, on Stonelaw Road, has accumulated £250.
The money raised has been donated to the Salvation Army to help the organisation support elderly local residents at Christmas.
Initially, the team planned to use the money raised to donate funds to the local base of the charity for its annual Christmas dinner. However, recent Covid restrictions meant the event may not go ahead.
Instead, the team at Specsavers chose to donate the funds to help provide vital care and food for those who need it this Christmas.

Peter Beaton, store director, said: "Christmas can be a very challenging time for some, especially after we have all been faced with another difficult year.
"That is why it’s hugely important to our team that we did whatever we can to support our friends at the Salvation Army to provide the care and support that vulnerable people may need.
"We hope that all of the money donated can continue to help the wonderful team at the charity with their amazing work and we look forward to future opportunities to play our part in raising funds for important causes."
