An up and coming Lanarkshire musician will have one of her gigs streamed over the Internet as part of a new initiative for fresh talent.
Rebekah Kirk, from Cambuslang, has recorded a set for the Skypark Sessions, filmed in the heart of Glasgow's city centre.
The singer was recently featured by Lanarkshire Live for her work with the metal band Sixth Wonder , but this performance is based around her solo material.
Skypark announced a serious of music sessions in partnership with Mildred’s Dairy Promotions earlier this year, that will allow new and up-and-coming musicians to play live gigs and record new music, all while being able to stream it from your living room.
The first sessions were shown in July, and now a second batch has been recorded, including Rebekah.
Rebekah told us : "It’s great to get this opportunity as due to the pandemic I have been unable to play live.
"Thanks to the Skypark Sessions more people will hopefully get the chance to get to know me and my songs.
"I am excited to be a part of the Sessions as it will be great to showcase some acoustic versions of some songs I hope to release as singles in the near future."
Other acts lined up to play are Edinburgh singer-songwriter Blue Rose Code , brooding band Mt Doubt , and Glasgow group the Wild Places .
Skypark’s strategic lettings advisor Angela Higgins of Resonance Capital said: "The Sessions will give new music exposure and promotional collateral at a time when live music is trying to get back to normality after this pandemic.
"It’s a privilege to present new music by Blue Rose Code, The Wild Places, Rebekah Kirk and Mt. Doubt .
"It’s free for anyone to watch the gigs, that will stream across our social media channels in October and November."
