East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow MP, Dr Lisa Cameron, is encouraging folk to shop local after dropping by a new addition to EK town centre.
She met the owner of Born in Scotland to have a look around the store and even picked up an early present - an Oor Wullie mug for her husband - while she was there.
There is a wide variety of goods on offer all made and sourced locally and produced here in Scotland.
Ms Cameron said it was "pleasing" to see a new shop opening in East Kilbride town centre, which has suffered a number of closures in recent years.
And like retailers and high streets across the country, it faces the ongoing challenges of the COVID pandemic.
The MP is meeting with the town centre owners and managers to discuss the challenges they face.
Ms Cameron told Lanarkshire Live : "It was great to meet with Nicola from Born in Scotland and fantastic that they have decided to open a new store in the constituency.
"I would encourage all constituents to shop local and support local businesses in the run up to Christmas."
