Lanarkshire Lives: Stefan McCluskey on a shock Junior Cup win with Shotts and playing his best football at Clyde

Lanarkshire lad Stefan McCluskey has played for a host of clubs in the region - but Shotts will always remain close to his heart.

The winger lifted the 2012 Junior Cup with a 2-1 win over Auchinleck Talbot and in our Lanarkshire Lives video, McCluskey looks back on a career that has taken him from Junior football to becoming a regular in the SPFL.

He played for a host of Lanarkshire clubs during his career, including spells with Airdrie, Lanark United and Clyde, but his shock win at Shotts remains a major highlight.

He said: "It was unbelievable and I can remember it to this day.

"I don't think Shotts will ever do anything like that again.

"There was thousands upon thousands went back for the open-top bus."

In this episode of Lanarkshire Lives, Stef reflects on bursting onto the scene as a 16-year-old at Lanark, Shotts Bon Accord’s against-the-odds win and his move into the senior game under Jim Duffy at Clyde - where he found himself in the form of his life.
