Lanarkshire kids have Christmas party to remember thanks to Wishaw children's charity

Lanarkshire kids with life-limiting illnesses had a day to remember thanks to a Wishaw children’s charity.

The Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation held its annual Christmas party at the Radstone Hotel, on the outskirts of Larkhall.

A whole host of characters were there on the day including Gus from Pulse 98.4, Bubbles and Peter Merlin, Batman, the Disney Crew, Broxi Bear, and the charity’s very own Mr Wiz with his Christmas jumper on.

The kids were spoiled with games and goodies then up and coming young Hamilton Grammar pupil Paddy Mac sang for them and had the dance floor full.

The day ended with Santa coming and giving every child a gift.

Angela Cook, DreamMaker co-ordinator, said: “Myself, Les and Laura Cochrane, our DreamMaker assistant, want to thank our fantastic Elf helpers for doing a brilliant job and every person or business that donated toys, sweets, juice and selection boxes.

“Finally we would like to thank the wonderful staff from The Radstone Hotel who looked after us so well and also donated £520 from their tips for the day.”

If you would like to donate to the charity over the Christmas period then visit the DreamMaker Foundation website.
