First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed another 244 Covid-19 cases in the region at her daily press briefing this afternoon, taking the total for last week to 1406.

The figure is a new weekly record for confirmed coronavirus cases in the region and includes the daily record of 306 set on Friday, October 9.

Today (Monday, October 12) was the the fifth consecutive day that more than 200 new Covid-19 cases were confirmed in the region and the 12th consecutive that more than 100 cases were announced.
