Lanarkshire has a rise of 51 confirmed coronavirus cases for April 15

The Scottish Government today said that 873 people have now tested positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire.

That is a rise of 51 from yesterday’s figure of 822.

It comes as 699 patients across Scotland who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.

And 29 people in Lanarkshire were in intensive care at midnight, with confirmed or suspected coronavirus.

The Scottish test numbers for April 15 show a total of 34, 064 people have been tested across the country.

Of these:

■ 27,316 tests were confirmed negative

■ 6748 tests were positive

■ 699 patients who tested positive have died

■ 195 patients were in intensive care last night, with 191 of those having tested positive

■ There were 1748 people in Scottish hospitals with either confirmed or suspected COVID-19 (including those in intensive care).
