Lanarkshire dad-to-be drives off with brand new car and £20k in cash after winning competition

A revved-up Coatbridge father-to-be got the surprise of a lifetime after he drove off with a plush new car - with an added bonus hidden within the expensive vehicle.

Andrew Sneddon scooped a top-of-the-range £63,000 Audi RS3 Saloon with £20,000 in the boot thanks to leading online competitions company BOTB.

Driven Andrew, 42, was always confident he was in with a chance of winning and found out his £2 competition ticket landed him the new wheels and cash as part of the firm’s weekly Dream Car Competition.

Andrew told Lanarkshire Live : "I’ve always thought one day it will be me - and here we are. It's absolutely fantastic.

“This has always been my dream car. I love Audis, I always have.

"I drive the A3 S line at the moment so this is an upgrade for sure.”

Andrew, who works as a joiner in his father’s family business, lives with his wife Gaynor in Coatbridge.

And the £20,000 cash boost will provide a very welcome bonus as the couple prepare for a new arrival this summer.

Andrew said: "I will put the cash towards a house deposit and keep the rest for the baby we have due in three months.

"This money is definitely going to come in really handy for us.”

Andrew has played BOTB's competition for two years trying to win the Audi.

The company hands over the keys to two stunning cars each week as well as the lifestyle prize. Other recent winners have bagged a quad bike, a holiday to the Arctic and £15,000 in cash.

The firm, listed on the stock market, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £47 million worth of cars thus far.

BOTB presenter Christian Williams said: “It was great to head to Coatbridge to meet Andrew this week - he’s played for an amazing prize and I’m super excited for him.”
