A 16-year-old boy was left injured after being robbed of his bike by a group of teenagers in a Wishaw park.
Detectives are appealing for information after a teenager had his moutain bike stolen from him on Saturday evening by four youths – one of them a girl – all dressed in dark clothing and wearing face masks.
The incident took place at a playpark in the Kirk Road area of Cambusnethan near Morrisons supermarket, around 6.20pm on Saturday, December 18.
The victim was approached by the three males described as aged 16 to 18 years old, and between 5ft 8ins and 6ft in heights. He was assaulted and then the bike was taken.
The victim suffered minor injuries as a result. The bike is described as being a “toxic green” Apollo Valier mountain bike with red pedals and a green bottle holder.
The suspects are described as being three teenage boys and a teenage girl, all dressed in dark clothing. They were last seen heading along Kirk Road.
DC Murray McMillan told Lanarkshire Live : “We’re appealing to anyone who witnessed the robbery, or was in the Kirk Road area on Saturday around the time of the incident and saw the teens involved, to please come forward.
“We’re also keen to speak with anyone who believes they may have seen the bike in question in or around Wishaw.”
