A Cambuslang based construction group has created 20 new jobs with the launch of new windows and doors manufacturing facility.
CCG (Scotland) Ltd has launched a new range of PVCu windows and doors in partnership with global supplier, REHAU.
The new product range will be developed using REHAU UK’s fabrication and R&D services, located across the UK, and manufactured by CCG in a brand new, semi-automated manufacturing facility at the group’s headquarters in Cambuslang.
A total of 20 jobs have been created as a result with the products set to augment CCG’s construction and housebuilding programmes – currently comprising over 40 sites – as well as their burgeoning maintenance/ refurbishment division which offers full supply and fit services for occupied homes.
Stuart Glen has joined CCG to run the new site - he told Lanarkshire Live : "When the opportunity to join CCG arose, it was something I couldn't turn down.
"I've worked in the industry for over 40 years, so I was aware of the company’s profile and I'm delighted to be here.
"We have invested in the very latest manufacturing technology as well as expert tradespeople who have combined to deliver a first class standard of product.
"Their efforts, alongside the support of the CCG Group and REHAU will help us move forward and I am optimistic for what the future will bring to our business.”
Based in Cambuslang Investment Park, CCG employs 700 staff across its group.
Their new PVCu products offer a lifespan "in excess of 40 years" and is manufactured using up to 80 per cent recyclable materials, helping to stick to CCG's values of 'creating sustainable, quality solutions for our clients'.
John Paton from the firm told us: “I'm delighted with Stuart and his team’s efforts so far.
