Lanarkshire brothers Saint PHNX 'trying something new' with launch of podcast

A band of brothers are looking to 2022 with the launch of a new EP and podcast.

Wishaw's Saint PHNX is made up of brothers Stevie and Al Jukes and the pair have been making music with each other for over 10 years.

They have had a big end to 2021, having toured across the UK with You Me At Six , played at TRNSMT festival and headlined a sold-out St Luke's in Glasgow.

But now the band are trying something new and have started their own podcast - 'It's Great to See You'.

Guests so far include sea shanty star Nathan Evans and world-famous pop-punk singer, Yungblud .

Inspired by their own love of podcasts, Stevie and Al have taken a relaxed approach to the show and "just have a good laugh".

Stevie told Lanarkshire Live : "We both love listening to podcasts and wanted to start one for a wee while.

"Then our good pal Greg started managing the G4 Podcast studio in Wishaw, so we saw it as a perfect opportunity to record one.

"We invited Nathan on the first episode and decided to just relax with it and have a good time. We spoke for about 45 minutes and it was a really good laugh.

"We were supporting Yungblud (Dom) at the Barrowlands last week and planned to record an episode there. We asked him if he would be happy to come on the episode and he said yes.

"Our dad died at the start of the year and Dom had become really good friends with him after we toured together. Dom was more than happy to come on the podcast and have a chat with us about when we toured and being pals with our dad."

The podcast, 'It's Great to See You', is available on YouTube.
