Lana Del Rey may have some happy news as the year reaches a close as rumours swirl she has become engaged to a gentleman she met on a dating app.
The 35-year-old chart topping star – whose name is Elizabeth Grant – is said to have fallen head over heels for a fellow musician named Clayton Johnson and allegedly said “yes” when he got down on one knee.
Tongues were set wagging that Lana and her 31-year-old beau were planning wedding bells following an appearance by the Born To Die singer on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday.
Fans were quick to spot a giant rock on the singer’s wedding finger – while some fans discovered the ring had been on her finger for days while reviewing recent social media posts by the star.
People Magazine has claimed that the singer is indeed engaged.
A report published by the US magazine on Tuesday states: “The Grammy nominee — who largely keeps her love life under wraps — recently got engaged to singer Clayton Johnson.”
People also claimed the pair had a very modern way of matching, adding: “The couple met on a dating app.”
The outlet failed to reveal which app exactly the singers had matched on.
Twitter was awash with speculation on Monday evening after Lana sang on Jimmy Fallon’s show.
One curious fan wrote: "The ring on her finger? Is she engaged?” alongside a pair of eyes emoji.
While another gasped: "Lana is caught with a ring on her ring finger AGAIN," alongside a screngrab from a recent Instagram post by the singer.
Despite being in the spotlight for a decade, Lana has kept her romantic life closely guarded.
It is believed she was engaged in 2014 to then-boyfriend, Scottish singer Barrie-James O'Neill – founder and frontman of a band called Kassidy.
Her current romance is believed to be only months old – after the singer broke up with policeman boyfriend Sean 'Sticks' Larkin last year.
