Lana Del Rey cancels entire European and UK tour as singer issues heartfelt apology

Lana Del Rey has cancelled her upcoming gig in Glasgow this month.

The Summertime Sadness singer was today forced to back out of her entire EU/UK tour due to illness, telling fans she had "totally lost my singing voice".

Lana was due to arrive in the UK next week, with shows planned in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham.

Fans across the country were ecstatic that Lana would perform in Scotland's biggest city as part of her Norman F*****g Rockwell tour.

Glasgow crowds were set to see the award-winning pop star on Friday, February 28 at SSE Hydro.

Ticket holders will receive a full refund.

A statement from Lana's team reads: "It’s with regret that Lana Del Rey today announces that she has been forced to cancel her entire upcoming EU/UK tour due to illness.

Lana herself added: “ Sorry to let everyone down so last minute but this illness has taken me by surprise and have totally lost my singing voice. Dr has advised 4 weeks off for the moment. I hate to let everyone down but I need to get well. Love Lana”

Rest up, Lana! And get well soon.
