If you ever needed proof that the maybe we are in the correct timeline, let it be this: Lana Del Rey, queen of sad-girl anthems and flower crowns, just attended her favourite vlogger Remi Ashten’s (Remi Cruz)wedding. Yes, you read that right. Lana Del Rey. At a YouTuber’s wedding. This is not a fever dream, but it is what dreams are made of — at least if you’re terminally online.
Let’s rewind for a sec. The Lana x Remi cinematic universe began at the Billboard Women in Music event in 2023, where Lana approached Remi’s bestie Oli Abbas and dropped this bombshell: “I watch you and Remi every day.”
She went on: “When I ran out of Remi videos, I started watching all of Alisha [Marie]’s videos.” She’s just like us for real!
The obsession was definitely mutual as Oli, Remi and Alisha were all screaming when they found out Lana watches their vlogs.
In her acceptance speech that night, Lana gave a shoutout to “the vloggers who got me through Covid — Remi Ashten, Oli and Alisha Marie”.
Since then, the squad have seen Lana perform at Coachella and, apparently, kept the group chat alive. Lana is doing the celebrity thing right because if I were famous, I too would use my clout to befriend my favourite YouTubers and score a wedding invite.
The lead up to Remi’s wedding was truly iconic, with many fans deeming it the ‘royal wedding’ and speculating as to when the lifetsyle content creator tied the knot with her now hubby Cal Parsons.
The wedding itself was as extra as you’d hope according to the exclusive coverage by Brides. The Pretty Basic podcast host wore a Vivienne Westwood ball gown, a cathedral-length mantilla veil, and a bouquet of white peonies. Her bridesmaids — including podcast co-host Alisha — wore matching blush dresses, while Cal rocked a custom white tux and a Rolex from Remi. There was a string trio, a flower-petal-tossing bridesman (Oli, obviously), and vows that had guests dabbing their eyes with monogrammed napkins.
Lana Del Rey was spotted among the 140 guests, and fans naturally lost their collective minds. “Imagine the Lana Del Rey attending ur wedding I’d be in tears,” said one TikTok user, while another declared, “Lana being in attendance is absolutely iconic.” No lies detected.

There was even merch (because of course), a Korean Night Market-inspired after-party, and a crane machine filled with wedding-themed Jellycats, Sonny Angels and Labubu’s. Lana, if you didn’t win a plushie, we riot.
So, to recap: Lana Del Rey is living her best life, attending her favourite YouTuber’s wedding, and I hope that somewhere, a TikTok editor is already making a fancam, because this really is the dream.
